Pie In The Sky: Hudson Valley Pizzeria Ranks No. 3 In US At National Challenge

One of the region's favorite deep dish, Detroit-style pie makers has won third place at the International Pizza Expo & Conference in Las Vegas.

Dutchess County's Hudson and Packard, located in Poughkeepsie, had been gunning for the gold cup but still managed to hit third as having the best deep dish pies in the country. 

If you haven't had a Detroit-style pizza, it's baked in a deep pan with the cheese on top of the crust and then the sauce.

Foodies and online reviewers say that Hudson and Packard is the best around.
